The BD LSRFortessaTM cell analyzer offers the ultimate in flow cytometry power, performance and consistency. Designed for affordability and expandability, the BD LSRFortessaTM is flexible enough to meet the growing needs of multiparameter flow cytometry assays.

Our BD LSRFortessaTM is equipped with 5 lasers (UV/355nm, Violet/405nm, Blue/488nm, Yellow-Green/561nm, Red/633nm). Arranged in octagon- and trigon-shaped optical paths, their new design effectively maximizes signal detection and enhances sensitivity and resolution. This enables researchers to identify cells, particularly rare and low-brightness cell populations, by optimizing multicolor assays and panel design for superior results.

This configuration enables us to detect up to 18 different fluorescence parameters: 2 parameters on the 355nm laser, 6 parameters on the 405nm laser, 2 parameters on the 488nm laser, 6 parameters on the 561nm laser and 3 parameters on the 633nm laser.

It can operate at 3 different throughput speeds and is capable of analyzing up to 20,000 events per second.

 

To enhance analysis speed, the High Throughput Sampler (HTS) enables rapid, fully automated sample acquisition from 96- and 384-well microtiter plates. In high-throughput mode, the HTS option can process a 96-well plate in less than 15 minutes, with less than 0.5% of samples transferred from one well to another.

 

Fast acquisition speed is achieved by synchronizing two high-precision pumps for sample mixing and injection, and probe washing. Standard flow mode can be selected for larger sample volumes.

The configuration below is the standard configuration. Numerous bandpass and longpass filters are available on the platform and can be exchanged for the acquisition of other fluorochromes.
